Cape May Movies on the Beach

Grab your popcorn and snuggle up on the sand for Cape May’s Free Movies on the Beach. The City of Cape May is thrilled to announce this year’s lineup to follow along with the Nations 250th anniversary and Cape May City's 175th incorporation anniversary:

The featured movie will begin at dusk next to Cape May Convention Hall at Gurney Street Beach. In the event of inclement weather, the cancellation will be announced on Cape May City’s Facebook page. All are welcome and encouraged to bring your favorite beach chairs and blankets.
Salt Marsh Safari
- Location: Wetlands Institute
Wetlands Institute - Watch our award-winning film, Secrets of the Salt Marsh, then join us for an interpretive walk through the wetlands! Together we will travel along our elevated walkway, down the salt marsh trail, and out onto the dock overlooking Scotch Bonnet creek. To fully experience the marsh, make sure to wear shoes that can get wet and muddy!
Weekdays: 10:00am, 12:00pm, 2:00pm
Weekends: 11:00am and 1:00pm

Guided Beachcombing
- Starts: 10:00 am
- Ends: 11:00 am
Come join us for guided beachcombing walks led by enthusiastic and knowledgeable guides. Tours start at 10 AM. Children will be given a beachcombing bucket. Donations accepted.

Thursdays at Surfside Concert

The Avalon Department of Recreation and the Avalon Free Public Library are proud to present the 2026 summer concert series Thursday evenings at Avalon's Surfside Park! Cape May Stage: Together Off-Broadway Merman and Martin

Together Off-Broadway: Merman & Martin in Concert celebrates the remarkable bond between Ethel Merman and Mary Martin — two of Broadway’s brightest stars. Performed by Sarah J. Gafgen and Meredith Beck, this elegant concert blends story and song to reveal the humor, heart, and friendship behind the fame. Featuring classics like “I Got Rhythm,” “The Sound of Music,” “A Cockeyed Optimist,” and “Hello, Dolly!”, audiences are invited to step behind the curtain and rediscover the women who helped define the American musical.
This is a one week, limited engagement show at Cape May Stage.
