Gorgeous front porch that is great for people watching complete with rocking chairs, a retractable power awning and lighted ceiling fans. Sit back and watch the antique trolley tours go by, horse drawn carriages and the annual Christmas parade. Parking for three cars. Plenty of space to relax and enjoy the shore. Two blocks from the beach and just steps to the Washington Street Mall, the famous Congress Hall Hotel, and many of Cape May s most popular restaurants and cafes. This is a pet friendly property. Great Victorian Home
Absolutely love this Victorian home. It appears to have the original lay out and style and the decor fully leans in. The kitchen and primary bathroom have been brought to modern standards and had everything needed to function well. The lighting is plentiful so that the house doesn’t have that dark thing old houses sometimes have. The Location can’t be beat. The main Shopping square, Acme grocery, and restaurants are within a couple of blocks. The Beach is 2 blocks. A few tips when packing. Because of the old pipes, a specific TP needs to be used so no need to pack or buy that. Paper towels and dish soap were also provided. The pictures show floor mats/rugs in the bathrooms so I didn’t order mats with the linen order. They aren’t there and the floors were definitely slippery when wet. A couple of things could be improved. The house was very clean but some of the dresser drawers were very sandy. The front porch furniture should be updated. The table is broken and tips easily. The rockers are nice but need sprucing. The cleaning service should include the porch and the dresser drawers. I would absolutely stay at this property again.
